화상영어 수업 13회차 (호주-중국 무역 갈등) 수업 후 동일 주제에 대해 다른 선생님과 수업을 진행했다. 나는 보통 어려운 주제(경제, 정치)의 경우 공부 시간도 많이 잡아먹고 용어가 어색한 만큼 동일한 주제에 대해 두 번 수업을 진행한다. 정규 수업 선생님은 이런 고급 주제에 대해서는 많이 얘기하지 못하시는 편이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 굉장히 수업을 즐겁게 이끌어주시기 때문에 계속 수업을 듣는다. 이전 정규 선생님은 말은 고급 표현도 잘 쓰고 했지만 분위기가 너무 우울해서 수업 들어가기 전에 마음이 불편하고 긴장되어 말이 더 안나왔다. 모든 선생님이 모든 점을 만족시킬 수 없기 때문에 지금 선생님 수업에도 그냥저냥 듣고 있다. '결국 공부는 내가 하는거니까'라고 생각하고 있다.
어쨌든, 두 번째 수업은 시간대가 가능한 선생님을 골라서 하는데, 이전에 한번 벼락치기로 했던 선생님이 좋았는데 또 가능한 시간대가 있어서 선생님과 함께 수업을 진행했다. 확실히 정규 선생님이 점수를 후하게 주신다. 처음에는 동기부여가 되었지만, 너무 점수를 후하게 받으면 분명 내가 만점 받을 실력이 아닌데.. 더 꼼꼼하게 봐주셨으면 좋겠다 싶다. 피드백만 봐도 비정규 선생님이 더 잘 봐주신게 보여서 음.. 이 선생님으로 옮길 수 있으면 옮기고 싶다.

* managed to라고 했는데 발음이 제대로 안들렸나보다. 발음 연습할 것!
3. Our economy is declined by 1.0% as compared to 2019.
a. Our economy had declined by 1.0% as compared to 2019.
b. Our economy had hit the skids of 1.0% when compared last 2019.
4. It says China grew 2.3 %.
a. It says that China's economy grew 2.3%.
b. According to the article, China's economy flourish at a percentage of 2.3.
5. Because we cannot believe them because they lied of statistics.
a. We shouldn't believe them because they keep lying about their statistics.
b. We should not take their word for it since they normally lie about their stats.
* lied about이라고 했는데 발음이 또박또박하지 않았나?? ㅠㅠ 연습하자...
* statistics 발음 계속 실수함. 연습!!

* shocking이라고 했는데 9ㅅ9 아 진짜 말이 빨라지면 자꾸 발음을 흘려서 그런가??? 마지막까지 발음하도록 주의하자.

2. Prepossessing (noun): it means a person or a thing that is interesting, attractive, or impressive. For example: The box didn't look very prepossessing, but the necklace inside was beautiful.
3. feel for (phrasal verb): If you feel for someone, you have sympathy for them or feel sad because they are suffering. For example: We all felt for Memphis when we heard about what had happened to his dog.
4. Have it your way (expression): We use this expression to say we agree - perhaps reluctantly - with the other person's idea, opinion or choice. For example: Have it your way then Memphis. You are old enough to know what's right and wrong.
